Odor Control
The process of eliminating objectionable odors may take many forms. From the application of fragrances during the cleaning process to thermal fogging, Service Depot does it all.
Ozone Generator
The use of ozone in the right application can be very effective. However, there are many misconceptions regarding the use of ozone to eliminate odors and to kill mold and bacteria. Ozone is most effective in treating smoke odor because unlike other methods, ozone leaves no residual odor or residue.
Ozone is frequently used to produce short-term results on other types of odors. According to the EPA, the misuse of ozone can be harmful to health whether in pure form or in mixture. Ozone levels needed to produce permanent results are often much higher than public health standards allow, and the work area must not be occupied during the operation of Ozone generating equipment.
Thermal Fogger
A thermal fogger is a machine designed to generate very fine smoke particles that penetrate porous surfaces harboring odor molecules. Raising the burning temperature of the fogging agent produces finer particles resulting in better surface penetration. The common small electric fogger is generally not effective at eliminating odor. That is why Service Depot uses gas powered machines to super-heat the thermal fogging agents. There are many scented fogging agents to address a wide array or odors ranging from fire, cigarette, food, human or just about any odor.
