The same powerful vacuum produced by our Truck Mounted equipment used to clean your carpet is also used to dry homes that have suffered major flooding. Even in these extreme conditions we expect our equipment to remove up to 97% of the water from flooded carpet. In comparison, carpet cleaning requires very little water to be affective.

What about "wicking"? This term is frequently used as a scare tactic by cleaners who use methods other than hot water extraction. Reappearance of stains is almost unheard of in a normal home setting.

Less than 1% of the tens-of-thousands of cleans we perform year-in-year-out experienced wicking and these mostly happen in grossly neglected apartments or in commercial settings. For wicking to occur, several unlikely conditions have to be present. Prolonged neglect of basic carpet maintenance such as regular vacuuming resulting in accumulation of heavy soiling behind the carpet backing, must be combined with over-wetting of the carpet backing.
